Chef’s Assistant (Full-Time!)

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic team member to join our dynamic restaurant team. As a key player in our operations, you will contribute to providing outstanding service and quality in various aspects of our culinary offerings, including buffet services, pop-up dinners, cooking classes, and market promotions.

Weekly Schedule:

  • Monday: 11 AM - 3 PM, 4:30 PM - 8:30 PM

  • Tuesday: Closed

  • Wednesday: 4 PM - 8 PM

  • Thursday: 11 AM - 3 PM, 4:30 PM - 8:30 PM

  • Friday: 11 AM - 3 PM, 5 PM - 9 PM

  • Saturday: 10:30 AM - 4 PM, 5 PM - 9 PM

  • Sunday: 11 AM - 1 PM, 2 PM - 4 PM and possibly 5 PM - 9 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in food preparation and serving at buffet lunches, dinners, and pop-up events.

  • Participate in cooking classes and engage with customers during events.

  • Support market promotions and assist in creating a positive customer experience.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas according to health and safety standards.

  • Adhere to kitchen rules, policies, and procedures consistently.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.

  • Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused.

  • Ability to handle money and maintain accurate records.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

  • Food Handlers certification (or willingness to obtain certification).

  • Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods and lift up to 30lbs.

  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of professional kitchen experience.

  • Previous experience in customer service roles.

  • Familiarity with Health Department guidelines and food safety protocols.
